this was one of the little "beach boys" that hung around the villa we stayed at on the island, Nosy Be.
on our last day, he walked up and gave me a big handful of seashells he had gathered for me. i guess he saw me the other mornings picking up a few shells from the beach. sweet, huh?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
and has them inherit a throne of honor.
For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s;
on them he has set the world.

I've been thinking a lot recently about the idea of people as the earth's true riches. What is more important than investing, loving, caring, for people? Everything else fades away. We have to first realize the depth of God's affection for us before we can possess that true, genuine affection for those around us.
Anyways, thoughts?
